John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was an All-American diver. He earned his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University, graduating summa cum laude and in the top 5% of his class. John holds a license in good standing with the Texas Supreme Court and has no disciplinary history.
In the time between undergrad and law school, John worked in non-profits, for-profits, the public sector, and as a small business owner. Because of this practical business experience, John is able to understand his clients’ unique needs and tailor specific strategies for their businesses. After law school, John landed a federal judicial clerkship as briefing attorney to a bankruptcy judge in Texas.
In his years “behind the curtain” of the federal courts, John developed a thorough understanding of debtor/creditor law, an ability to craft compelling legal arguments, and keen insight into the decision-making process of government authorities. With his background in both worlds, John is a powerful advocate with an invaluable negotiating perspective that enables him to reach extremely favorable results for his clients.
